My Everyday Hero

Just feel like blogging about Eric today.

To start off, he is my "Everyday Hero". I got this term from Holiday Inn's latest online campaign about recognizing the extraordinary efforts of ordinary people, people who go the extra mile for their work.

Other than managing his full-time coaching job, he is also going for classes in the evenings to pursue his degree in Sports Science.

I know it's tough to be a Coach, although I always tell him that he is lucky to have a job where he can shout at people, and only clock 3 hours a day. But the amount of effort he puts into his coaching is commendable. He ploughs through stacks of Netball books during his free time, in search of better drills and training tactics.

And when he is coaching, he isn't in the most comfortable working environment. Unlike most office workers, he has to endure the elements. And Singapore is well-known for her capricious weather conditions.

Rushing off to classes and skipping dinner has become a routine for Eric. He always return home mentally and physically drained. Most of the time, he gets a splitting headache after a day of coaching and class.

While you may think that he can hit the sack once he gets home, but Haha! Noooooo…he still has to spend time with meeeeeeeeeeee

Yeah, he has to talk to me, hear me complain about my work, give me foot massages and watch TV with meeeeeeeeeeee…..sometimes, when I insist on watching horror shows at night, he has no choice but to watch with me!

My Everday Hero no doubt.

Good luck for your Zonal competitions going on right now, and your exams next week my Dear!
