How happening! Just before leaving for Japan, I thought I had sprained my wrist during a netball match. Then while in Japan, I shopped around with porter Eric (keke) and the pain seemed to have subsided. Swelling had also gone down. But when I arrived back in Singapore, the pain came back and x-ray result showed that I had a hairline fracture.
...............so was admitted to A&E department at TTSH today. Hmmm think I watched too much drama shows because I had expected the A&E department to be filled with bloody patients , people screaming in pain and doctors and nurses running here and there. Alas! I was wrong, damn wrong. There were no crying patients, no blood (not even blood stains), and no emergency staff running around. So sian lorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr......................................... and I had to pay $80 even before I get to see the doctor! Goodness!
In the end, since mine was a hairline fracture, they didn't put me in a cast. Just some bandaging and several packs of painkillers (which I didn't need at all!) and I was out of that boring place. Took a train back but no one offered poor me a seat throughout the ride. Instead, all I got were stares at my bandages. On top of that, one stone-faced aunty nearly knocked into my bandaged wrist just to get the empty seat in front of me! Sigh, we can never attain first world country status with such ungracious citizens.
